Day 18/365…Studio Magico…january 26, twenty 10

A lot going on today – A patient fell on me at work (long story), trying to get caught up with school and trying to do more with my photography…including rebranding my “business” and gearing more towards a medical market. I knew since I was in junior high that photography was going to become a big part of my life. Lately, I am learning medical photography is more the area I want to venture career wise. I still do a variety of photography, but it seems my interest always comes back to medicine. Anyway…enough of that.

Studio lighting has ALWAYS been a joy for me. I love the options you have while working in the studio; you can literally change you lighting and everything else in a matter of minutes. During my time at Mass Communications, I got to spend a lot of time in the photography studio, I worked (and taught in some cases) many of the photography students and improved my skills. I am setting up a small studio in our empty room and snapped this today –

Shot with Canon 5DMK2 and 50 1.4 lens.

ISO 100, 50mm, f5.6 @ 1/60 sec. No editing, resized and added © with Adobe Lightroom 2.6.

Thanks Foster! That’s sorta what I had in mind. Also, wanted to use these as possible promo cards. Hope the semester is going well for you!

  2. That’s some beautiful color! The silhouette is gorgeous and perfectly placed. Someone gets a gold star for today… haha!
