Day 68/365…depth of focus…march 17, 2010

Today I spent some time teaching a friend depth of field and some other basic camera usage. His idea was to shoot a series of images, each with a different focal point, and then create an animated gif. After a handful of attempts in the alley and street, we setup some wet-floor signs in the back yard. Taylor lined up the signs how he wanted and began taking some shots using my 5D; I didn’t want to just stand around, so I grabbed my 40D and took a few myself –

Shot with Canon 40D and 35 1.4L lens.

ISO 100, 35mm, f1.4 @ 1/1600 sec. Edited with Adobe Lightroom 2.6.
